A custom-built 5-inch FPV racing drone designed for high-speed performance. Built from the ground up with carefully selected components to achieve a sub-450 gram all-up weight while delivering a peak power of 1800 watts.
The Apex5 is built around a lightweight 5-inch frame, optimised for agility and speed. Every component was chosen to balance weight, power, and durability — from the high-kV motors and 4S-compatible ESC to the compact flight controller and lightweight camera system. The result is a sub-450 gram quadcopter capable of extreme manoeuvrability.
With a top speed of 210 km/h and a peak power draw of 1800 watts, the Apex5 delivers thrilling performance for freestyle and racing applications. Flight time ranges from 3 to 5 minutes depending on flying style, with aggressive throttle management during race sessions.
The drone runs Betaflight firmware, fine-tuned with custom PID tuning and filter settings to match the specific frame resonance and motor characteristics. Betaflight's dynamic filtering and RPM filtering provide smooth flight characteristics across the entire throttle range.
