A custom 10-inch FPV drone designed for long-range cruising and endurance flights. With a 2.2 kilogram takeoff weight and a peak power output of 3800 watts, the Helion balances efficiency with substantial thrust for reliable long-distance operations.

Design and Build

The Helion's 10-inch frame accommodates larger, low-kV motors paired with efficient propellers to maximise flight time. The extended arm length and larger propeller disc area provide increased stability and lift efficiency compared to smaller configurations, making it ideal for sustained cruising.

Performance

Capable of a top speed of 140 km/h and an estimated flight time of approximately 30 minutes, the Helion is built for covering distance. The 3800 watt peak power ensures ample thrust for takeoff, climbs, and emergency manoeuvres while maintaining efficient cruise performance.

Flight Controller

The drone runs Betaflight firmware, configured for long-range operation with appropriate filter and PID tuning. The setup prioritises flight stability and efficiency over aggressive acrobatic performance.
