3D-printed 90mm EDF jet — 330 km/h, 2.5:1 thrust-to-weight
A 3D-printed EDF jet built around a 90mm fan for high-speed flight. At 2 kilograms takeoff weight with 5.4 kilograms of static thrust, the Psy-Cho keeps a thrust-to-weight ratio of about 2.5:1 while targeting a top speed of 330 km/h.
The airframe is fully 3D-printed in PETG from an original design, with a 1 metre wingspan laid out for high-speed stability rather than slow handling. The ducted-fan installation keeps the exterior clean, which helps the airframe stay efficient at high airspeed.
A single 90mm EDF delivers up to 3.7 kW on 8S, producing roughly 5.4 kg of static thrust. The high exhaust velocity suits a fast airframe, giving strong acceleration and high pitch-speed for top-end runs while keeping takeoff thrust comfortable at 2 kg AUW.
The aircraft runs ArduPilot firmware, configured for fixed-wing operation with stabilized modes, autonomous waypoint navigation, loiter, and RTL (Return to Launch).
